The government has allocated 2.5 million Euros to the Tourism sector of Portugal. The aim for the allocation of this money is to train at least 1000 immigrants for the industry standard. This will make them eligible to work within the country.

The Government Aims To Help Immigrants

This initiative taken by the Portuguese government will help the new people who are settling in the country. The government of Portugal will take care of their food, and living and will provide them with the necessary expertise to make them work on their own. This budget was allotted to the tourism industry as part of the plan to accelerate the economic plan of the country. The estimate of 1000 people was given by the Ministry of Economy which deems that 2.5 million is enough for 1000 people to learn and then seek work.

The Portuguese Government has made an elaborate plan which has many stages. The first stage includes 1000 immigrants and there will be more stages to this plan. The government will review the first stage after a while and then plan according to the success of the immigrants. It has been stated that the plan will include the immigrants training at hotels and tourism schools of the Tourism in Portugal industry. The availability and how much time can the immigrants allot will be dependent on the government and it will be paid for by the tourism government as well.

This program was presented by the executive committee on 4th July and the exact plan for this committee is as follows:

Welcome professionals, or non-professionals, for a training-integration project, aiming to contribute to improving the integration conditions of refugees and migrants in Portugal. It will also develop strategic partnerships for the qualification and integration of young people.

The main aim is to provide a platform for immigrants and to make them ready for the tourism industry. Portugal is a country whose average working life is more than other EU countries and the government wants to recruit younger people within the country. This is a great initiative from the government, and it has already made it to the news about how Portugal is aiding the immigrants. The 2.5 million Euros Immigrants will help both the Portuguese government as well as the immigrants who seek work after settling in a new country.

Portugal remains the only country who are taking some immigrants in their country. The government is keen to aid the people to settle in their country.
