Portugal has been ranked 1st in the list of countries for the best conditions to raise your family abroad. The recent report of “The Family Relocation” has been released which has taken many factors into consideration before declaring Portugal as the best country in that list.

Report for Relocation of Families

William Russell, which is a health insurance company has released the report for relocation of families. The report has considered around 11 factors and some of the main factors are educational opportunities, cost of childcare, financial conditions, health facilities average working hours, and many more. These factors are used to give ranking from 1 to 10 to each factor and then sum for every factor gives you the total score for each country.

Most of the scoring for each factor is done after verifying information from various sources like Numbeo, Tripadvisor, OECD and many more. Some other factors were also included in the report like paid leaves for both maternity and parental leaves and average cost of utilities. Portugal had the good scores in every factor, but it gained it’s score mostly in the financial factor. The total score that William Russell has allotted to Portugal is 6.33 out of 10.

The reason for Portugal to land in the first stop is due to the financial stability. This country provides affordable childcare services which will help the new families that are inhabiting at a new place. The average cost of childcare services is 5% of the total income which is much lesser than other countries. The average cost of the necessary utilities per month is 110 euros which is also very low as compared to other countries. These 2 factors makes Portugal stand out in the list and makes it gain the first spot.
