More About F1 In Portugal

Currently, the F1 has operated 14 races so far out of 24 races in total. The last F1 race occurred in Belgium on 28th July which was won by Lewis Hamilton. Now, all the F1 drivers are on summer break and the season will resume with the Dutch Grand Prix on 25th August where all drivers will go head-to-head again.

There is an F1 track in Portugal as well that goes by the name “Autódromo Internacional do Algarve”. It offers development in karting, technology parks, sports complexes, hotels, and much more. Portimao was included in F1 for the very first time in 2020. It was used by stars like Charles Leclerc, Daniel Ricciardo, and Valtteri Bottas before in their junior career.

Portimao is a circuit made with elevation changes and it was created when Ricardo Pena rode on the 2.9-mile course. All the curves were designed after testing the car on the circuit. The starting lap includes a downhill road to the last right-hander at Galp Point, which leads back into the pit straight.
