Pedro Neto Signs Seven Year Deal With Chelsea Football Club

Pedro Neto is a professional footballer who has spent 5 years at the Wolverhampton Wanderers club. The Portuguese winger has signed a new contract with Chelsea for 7 years.

Pedro Neto Starts His New Chapter

Pedro Neto has been exceptional for both his previous club and for his country. He has 10 national caps for his country where he has scored 1 goal for Portugal so far. He also participated in the European Championship where France eliminated Portugal in the quarterfinals.

He has transferred from Wolverhampton to Chelsea for a total fee of 54 million pounds (69million dollars). Pedro has performed well at his former club. He scored 2 goals and assisted 9 times in 20 appearances in the last season.

The Portuguese winger was unveiled at the home ground of Chelsea, Stamford Bridge. His appearance was made at the half time of the last pre-season game of Chelsea. The match was being played between Chelsea and Inter Milan where he was brought on the pitch during half time break. Pedro Neto has played 135 games for his former club. He believes that he is ready for his new chapter.

Since Pedro Neto has joined the club, he will be available for their first match of the new season against Manchester City. He was really happy to join the English club as can be seen from his statement:

I feel really grateful to have joined this club. I have worked really hard in my career to be here and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch with this shirt.

Chelsea Looking To Perform Well In The Premier League

Chelsea have got a good player in the form of Pedro Neto. The winger is only 24 years old, and it is great to have another young player in the squad. The signing of Neto has taken the summer spending of Chelsea above 200 million pounds.
