Nuno Borges enters top 40 positions in the ranking

Nuno Borges is a Portuguese Tennis player who has recently entered the top 40 rankings for tennis. The PIF ATP rankings are issued which gives the position of every tennis player. Nuno currently stands in 39th Position on the ATP list as Nuno Borges enters top 40.

Nuno Borges Climbs 4 Positions To Take 39th Spot

He has become the second Portuguese who has entered the top 40 rankings. Nuno climbs up the position ladder by 4 spots. This places him in the 39th position currently. This position is the best position attained in the sport of tennis.

Borges had reached the round of 16 stage in the “Masters1000” competition. This competition was conducted in Montreal, Canada. Nuno is currently 27 years old, and he has already won his first-ever title on the circuit. He won the Bastad Tournament which was conducted in Sweden. His matches were tough, and he played against some well-renowned players. His final was against Rafael Nadal. He won the title by defeating Rafael Nadal who has already won 22 Grand Slam Men’s singles titles.

The Portuguese tennis played has achieved the world ranking of 39 on 12 August 2024. He has a men’s double ranking of 69 which was achieved on 19th of September 2022. Nuno Borges is currently considered the No. 1 ranking tennis player in Portugal Nuno Borges enters top 40.

Nuno Borges Becomes No.1 Tennis Player In Portugal

This has made him join the list of Portuguese players who are within the top 40 ranking. Only one Portuguese player has completed this before and that is João Sousa. João went on to achieve his best ATP ranking of 28 which was achieved on 16 May 2016. Sousa also achieved an ATP double ranking of 28 which he achieved on the 13th of May 2019.

João Sousa has retired from tennis. Now, all the pressure is on Nuno Borges who has to prove himself to be the best tennis player of all time. Nuno has both the talent and skills that can take him to the number one spot.

The second-best Portuguese national player is Jaime Faria. Jaime has also climbed the ATP rankings by 2 places. He is currently at 159th spot. Faria is 21 years old right now and he has a lot of potential to become better at tennis. Jaime can learn and follow in the footsteps of Nuno Borges.
