MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix has announced its race in Portugal from 7 November to 9 November in the year 2025. This race will be held at the Algarve International Circuit on the weekend. This news is confirmed by Dorna which is promoting the championship of MotoGP.
MotoGP Grand Prix In Portugal 2025 Announced
Portugal will be once again hosting the MotoGP Grand Prix. This race will mark the 7th visit of the championship to the country. It will be hosted in one of the most thrilling racetracks which is 4592 meters long. There are 22 races held all together in a single calendar year. This race will be the 21st race in the tournament. It will be held right after the Asian round of the MotoGP championship.

Portimão circuit will once again bring all the people back to watch this exciting sport. The MotoGP has 22 races where the drivers visit 18 different countries to battle against each other. This race is held at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in the month of November. The Portuguese Grand Prix is usually held in the month of November. The last two races in the country were also planned in the same month for the year 2021 and 2022. This was the first year that Miguel Oliveira won the race with a fine margin.
This news was announced at the press conference held at Autódromo do Algarve. The race officials announced that this race would be held at the track in Algarve until the year 2026. It was very difficult to get the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix 2025. The Portuguese president of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), Jorge Viegas informed us that there were some financial issues which made it really hard to complete the deal. Autodrome has paid some bills for Dorna which has caused some financial problems.
Government Supports Portuguese Grand Prix
The Government of Portugal was also involved in getting this deal done. It was the first time that the Government supported the negotiations with the authorities of the MotoGP Grand Prix. Both the Autodrome and the Government officials made sure that the Grand Prix returned to the country. This will also generate revenue for the country as many people attend the race. Jorge Viegas has stated:
The Autódromo did a lot of work, and, for the first time, the government was an interested party and very active in making this contract viable. The Portuguese Grand Prix was at risk, but I can only be happy that MotoGP will continue in Portugal.
He also informed the fans that the calendar for the MotoGP will be announced soon. There are some other events which will also be hosted by Portugal. This also includes the Superbike Championship which will be conducted in Portimão and Estoril. Portugal has also taken responsibility to host the Junior GP Championship in Estoril. This will increase the hype of the Moto Sports fans in the country. It will also generate revenue for the country.
