House Rents In Portugal Increased By 4.9% In November Compared With Last Year

House prices increase by 4.9%

The house prices for rent in Portugal have increased by 4.9% within 1 year. These prices were recorded in November. It is observed that the prices have increased as compared with last year as house prices increase by 4.9% in various areas of Portugal.

House Prices Increase By 4.9%

Portugal is one of the most desired destinations for property due to its scenic beauty. Recently, these prices have increased compared with last year. The prices in November 2024 have increased by 4.9% since November 2023. According to the report by idealista, the price index for November this year is 16.1 Euros per square meter. This value is calculated according to the median price while considering quarterly variation as house rents decreased by 1%. The variation of Prices can be checked as follows according to different areas of Portugal.

Capital City Districts

Some of the cities that experienced an increase in rent prices in capital city districts are as follows:

  • Santarém: 4% Increase
  • Braga: 8% increase
  • Coimbra: 10% increase
  • Setúbal: 2% increase
  • Porto: 7% increase
  • Lisbon: 6% increase
  • Castelo Branco: 2% increase
  • Leiria: 8% increase
  • Viana do Castelo: 7% Increase
  • Viseu: 6% Increase

Some district capital cities like Évora have seen a decrease in house rent prices (-0.5%). The house rental prices decreased by 2.3% in Aveiro. This is the only district capital that has seen a price decrease in the country. Lisbon is the city which has the highest rent price in Portugal. The rent prices in some of the cities are as follows:

  1. Lisbon:9 Euros per meter square
  2. Porto:6 Euros per meter square
  3. Setúbal:4 Euros per meter square
  4. Évora:6 Euros per meter square
  5. Aveiro:2 Euros per meter square
  6. Coimbra:2 Euros per meter square
  7. Braga:7 Euros per meter square
  8. Viana do Castelo:3 Euros per meter square
  9. Santarém:2 Euros per meter square
  10. Leiria:1 Euros per meter square
  11. Viseu:0 Euros per meter square
  12. Castelo Branco:9 Euros per meter square

Islands & Districts In Portugal

Only the Beja district has observed a decrease in rental house prices by 1.7% out of all the 18 districts. The rest of the districts have observed a price increase in Portugal. You can check the prices of all the districts and the rates by which their prices have increased.
