Gonzalo Ramos Will Undergo Surgery For Left Ankle

The PSG striker will soon have surgery on his left ankle. This may take him 3 months to come back and play football for his club. The French league, League 1 has started their season this weekend. PSG played their first match against Le Havre which they won by 4 goals to 1. Gonzalo Ramos got injured in the 15th minute of the game. His injury came from a tackle by the 22-year-old Le Havre defender, Étienne Youte Kinkoue.

Although Étienne Youte Kinkoue received a yellow card for such a rash challenge, the injury seemed much worse. Gonzalo Ramos was forced to leave the pitch where he was looked after by the medical team. All this happened in the first match of the season. It is estimated that Gonzalo will be out for about 3 months. He may also have to undergo surgery on his left ankle.

PSG seems to be weak right now with most of their stars either left or are injured. The injury of Gonzalo has further weakened the French side. This is because of their star player, Kylian Mbappé who also left the club to join the Spanish club, Real Madrid. It is evident that the forward is a key figure for the club. He also assisted the opening goal for his club when he found Lee Kang, who slotted the ball into the net. It took PSG only 3 minutes to appear on the score sheet. This was due to the quick thinking of Gonzalo Ramos.

It was later observed on social media that Gonzalo Ramos left the pitch on crutches. The Portuguese forward was seen leaving the Stade Oceane stadium (home of Le Havre) with a brace on his foot. His left foot was covered entirely with a brace to protect it from further harm.

Gonzalo Ramos To Miss Portugal Match Of Nations League

This news has left Roberto Martínez without his main striker for the upcoming games. Portugal is due to play their Nations League games on 5th September and 8TH September. Their matches will be against Croatia and Scotland. These matches will be played at Estádio da Luz stadium, located in Lisbon. Unfortunately, Gonzalo will have to miss both of these matches due to injury. Roberto Martinez has to experiment with his players as Portugal will have to make a strong team for the upcoming World Cup as well.

This is a huge blow for the Portuguese football manager who will have to play without one of his main strikers. Gonzalo has also improved his performance recently for his club. He will be back in the squad when he returns from his injury with a full recovery. Hopefully, he may recover in less than 3 months to continue giving his phenomenal performances for the club.
