This figure also includes all the athletes, members of the support team, and the organization committee. The management of the ALUT team has stated:

Last year we had a total of 600 participants, a number that we expect to surpass this year, given the notoriety that the race/tour has had throughout its editions.

ALUT Race: The Longest Track For Running

ALUT is considered the longest track for running in Portugal. The race for this year will feature female elite for sports from across the world. This will make the race competition much more intense than usual. The route has been changed a lot since last year. The race for this year will be more difficult than the previous one due to changes in the route. It is constructed in such a way that some points will be marked as the highest points in the Algarve. These highest points are located in the municipality of Monchique which passes through areas of Madrinha, Picota, and Fóia. The organization stated:

This year we reached a record number of foreigners, with a percentage of over 40% of athletes from the four corners of the world, with emphasis on participants from Spain, France, Poland, and the United Kingdom.

One of the management chairmen, Bruno Rodrigues stated that ALUT will be a much more fun-filled event. This race will take the participants through various terrains of the Algarve. It is also a way to get in touch with the residents of different municipalities.
